Reviewing the High West Chardonnay Cask Finish Bourbon
I finally got my hands on a bottle of the high west chardonnay cask finish, and I have to say, it's a pretty interesting departure from their usual stuff. If you've spent any time looking at whiskey shelves lately, you know that barrel finishing is the "it" thing right now. Everyone and their mother is throwing bourbon into Sherry butts, Port pipes, or Caribbean rum casks. But Chardonnay?
